Courts in Boone and Winnebago Counties are now approved to allow cameras in their courtrooms. Illinois Supreme Court Justice Thomas Kilbride says the program is working out well in other circuit courts across the state. The newest announcement in Boone and Winnebago marks the fifth circuit to participate in the pilot program, which the state's high court approved in January. The first big test of the program will come this summer when cameras are allowed to capture the proceedings of accused spree killer Nicholas Sheley.
