A Rockford woman managed to escape from the trunk of her car after robbers stuffed her inside. Police say two men approached the woman just after Midnight while she was in her driveway. She was hit on the head with a shotgun before one of the men forced her inside the trunk. The men drove away in the car but the woman put her quick thinking skills into action. She activated the interior trunk release, jumped from the vehicle, and ran away. She was able to flag down a police officer to report the crime. The woman had a few scrapes and bruises but no serious injuries. Police are looking for two young, white males. Both are around 18 years old and both wore dark hoodies during the heist. The woman's blue Hyundai Elantra still hasn't been recovered.
