Lee County officials have filed additional charges against a Rockford man in connection with the killing of a Monticello, Illinois woman last month at a rest area off I-39 in Paw Paw.
16 more charges have been added against 36-year old Terence Doddy in the murder of 44-year old Tonya Bargman. He has also been arrested by Winnebago County authorities in the killing of 37-year old Todd Hansmeier of Rockford last month.
Lee County State's Attorney Anna Sacco-Miller said that 12 of the 16 counts is in relation to the killing. Other charges include robbery, concealment of a homicidal death, possession of a stolen car, and possession of a stolen credit card. Doddy stole Bargman's vehicle at the rest area following the altercation.
Winnebago County officials have filed 15 counts against Doddy which includes 11 in the murder of his
co-worker.
It's the first time Sacco-Miller and Winnebago County State's Attorney Joe Bruscato have worked together in a case since they were elected to their current positions.
Doddy will appear in Lee County court in Dixon this morning for an arraignment. He will also be in Winnebago County court in Rockford this afternoon for a status hearing.
It's unknown at this time which murder case will be 1st involving a jury trial. Doddy filed a motion in Winnebago County on Monday to have a new judge.
