A tentative agreement has been reached between bargaining teams for the Meridian School District and the teacher's union.
The deal involves a pay freeze for 1 year.
The Meridian School District, like others in the area, are faced with some tough financial decisions over the next 12 months. In a published report, representatives from the teacher's union said that the contract is not a win for it's members, but is in the best interests for students in the community to approve the proposal.
The new contract is expected to be approved by the Meridian School District board next week.
