Two women who contracted the West Nile Virus this year are dead. Officials say both of the women were from northern Illinois and both were elderly, one was in her 70's and the other in her 80's. State officials say 11 people died of West Nile last year and 15 people have been diagnosed with the virus this year. People can keep the disease at bay wearing long sleeved shirts between dusk and dawn. They should also wear insect repellent with DEET when they're outside and get rid of any standing water outside their homes.
