Rochelle City Engineer, Sam Tesreau, has announced that Creston Road, east of I-39 at Swamp Road, will be closed to traffic today in order to perform pavement restoration work in the area.
Countryside drainage contractors will be performing the work and a detour will be posted at Dement and Mulford Roads. The closure is expected to last only today.
Residents and motorist are reminded to pay special attention to the advance warning signage, posted detour routes, road closed barricades and other temporary traffic control devices within the work zone.
City Engineer, Sam Tesreau, has announced that Ave D, West of South Main Street, will be closed to traffic beginning on Thursday in order to perform storm sewer and inlet reconstruction by the City of Rochelle Street Department.
The project is expected to be complete by October 29th. Temporary access will be available to adjacent properties via driveways immediately north and south of Ave D.
Advance warning, detour and other temporary traffic control devices will be posted near the affected area. Please use caution while traveling in this area and pay special attention to the detour routes and traffic control devices within the work zone. We appreciate your patience during this project.
