Rochelle City Council meeting

City officials in Rochelle heard an update report last night on the financial status for the current fiscal year.

With 42 percent completed, revenue totals 4.1 million dollars compared to expenditures at $3.2 million dollars or a positive difference of just over $869,000.

The city has received an increase in both the Telecommunication and State Income taxes along with the 2nd installment of the property tax.

City Manager David Plyman said that the fiscal year has gone well so far. One concern is electrical costs in the future for RMU.

The fiscal year ends on April 30th, 2015.

The council amended the annexation agreement with Squires Landing West near 20th Street involving future improvements at the intersection with Flagg Road. They also approved the facility deal with BP Products for the widening of Wiscold Drive. Bids will go out for the project next week.

The city will also receive a grant of $50,000 for roof top unit projects at the local industries in the Hub City. This would include air conditioning units.

The council met in executive session to talk about personnel. No action was taken.
