The Rochelle City Council will meet in special session this evening at 5:30 as the discussion will center around the new fiscal year budget.
City officials plan to meet as a "Committee of the Whole" to talk about the numbers in each department. No final action will be done on the budget during the special meeting on this evening.
The gathering is open to the public. The new fiscal year for the city begins on May 1st.
