An Amboy man escaped serious injuries Saturday following a single vehicle crash in rural Polo.
Ogle County Sheriff's Police say that a car driven by 25-year old Jacob Vandewostyne was traveling in the 2,000 block of North Freeport Road when the vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic. The car then struck a guard rail and overturned.
Vandewostyne was transported by ambulance to CGH Medical Center in Sterling with minor injuries from the crash.
He was ticketed by sheriff's police for improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
