A Texas company is recalling 30-thousand cases of vegetable products from over half-a-dozen retail chains after some tested positive for Listeria. Country Fresh brand vegetables have been recalled from Wal-Mart, QuikTrip, Publix and other chains after a sample collected from a store in Georgia tested positive for the bacteria.
Listeria can cause infections that can sometimes be fatal in children and elderly people. It can sometimes take up to 70 days for symptoms to occur.
