A Rochelle man turned himself in at the Ogle County jail in Oregon Thursday morning wanted on a warrant for the felony offense of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.
Local authorities had been looking for 36-year old Eduardo Vega for the past 3 weeks.
Rochelle police received word of the alleged incident on September 9th. The victim is under the age of 13 years old.
Vega was released from jail following the arrest as he posted 10 percent or $10,000 of the $100,000 bond. He will appear in court for a hearing on October 14th in Oregon.
