A jury trial has been set for November 7th for a 15-year old boy from Kings who has been arrested following an armed robbery that took place this summer in Rochelle.
The teen has been charged with the Class "X" felony offense.
A local woman informed Rochelle police on August 21st that she had been robbed at gunpoint by 2 male juveniles. The hold-up took place at a local hotel and apartment complex on North Main Street. No one suffered any injuries.
The 2 juveniles allegedly stole money from the victim's purse.
The state has filed a habitual juvenile petition that allows the teen to have a jury trial in the case. He remains in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice on a parole violation.
A 17-year old Rochelle teen was also arrested on the charge of armed robbery from the incident. He pled guilty earlier this month and was sentenced to probation until he is 21 years old.
