The state's health insurance exchange is making it official; those who want to buy policies via the Obamacare exchange have fewer options and can expect higher prices. Statewide, rates are rising an average 44-percent for the lowest-priced bronze plans, 45-percent for silver plans and 55-percent for gold plans.
Most Illinoisans get their health insurance through their employer or through Medicare and Medicaid, but in the past year, more than three-hundred-thousand state residents bought insurance on the exchange.
