Judge denies Madigan's request to halt pay during state budget crisis

Illinois employees will continue to receive a paycheck despite the actions of state Attorney General Lisa Madigan. A St. Clair County Circuit judge rejected a request from Madigan yesterday to halt state workers pay until lawmakers resolve the ongoing budget crisis.
The attorney general is expected to appeal the decision.
