Attorneys for former Governor Rod Blagojevich are making their case again for a shorter sentence for his corruption conviction.
Attorney Leonard Goldman told federal appeals panel on Tuesday that Blagojevich's crime consisted of asking for a campaign contribution, not a bribe, in exchange for some favor -- a difference that should at least lessen the severity of his sentence, or at best be reason for a new trial.
Blagojevich wasn't in court for the hearing. He's served five years of a fourteen year sentence.
