Ogle County Sheriff's Police arrested a Stillman Valley man yesterday afternoon following an altercation at a gas station.
The victim of a domestic battery was at the Marathon gas station.
29-year old Jacob Gomez of Stillman Valley was located a short time later during a traffic stop in the 6,000 block of Brick Road. After further investigation, he was arrested on the charge of aggravated domestic battery and unlawful restraint.
Gomez was also wanted on a Lee County warrant for contempt.
The victim did receive treatment for her non-life threatening injuries at a Rockford hospital.
Gomez was also ticketed for driving on a suspended license and having no insurance.
He remains in the Ogle County jail with no bond set on the felony offense of aggravated battery. Gomez will appear before a judge later today in Oregon.
