Rochelle man pleads not guilty in sexual abuse case

A Rochelle man has pled not guilty in Ogle County court involving an alleged sexual abuse incident that took place in 2015.

50-year old Don LaDew has been charged with 7 counts of the Class 2 felony offense of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

The alleged incidents took place between April 1st and July 15th of 2015. LaDew knew the victim.

During a court appearance, LaDew waived his preliminary hearing and demanded a jury trial. He was given a pre-trial conference date for June 12th in Oregon.

LaDew is also in jail on 2 counts of the Class 2 felony offense of unlawful possession of child pornography. The 2016 case remains pending in court.

LaDew remains in jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
