Rochelle Township High School Superintendent Jamie Craven has interviewed for the same position in the DeKalb School District 428.
Craven gave an update on the process during today's program "Let The People Know". He said that no final decision has been made by DeKalb officials at this time in reference to the position.
Craven was 1 of 6 candidates interviewed by DeKalb committees that included district staff, community members, and parents. One committee made a site visit to RTHS as they talked with the local staff along with county and city officials.
DeKalb officials are looking to replace Doug Moeller who was put on paid administrative leave in September of last year after accusations of sexual harassment. He resigned from the superintendent's position on April 30th.
Each candidate was given 9 questions by each of the 6 interview teams.
Craven said it would be a new challenge for him if he is selected as the superintendent of the DeKalb School District.
The DeKalb school board met in special session last night. Nothing was announced in reference to the superintendent's position.
Craven has been with RTHS for 23 years, 10 as superintendent in the district.
