Most Illinois schools will open in August, even without a state budget. But there are a lot of western Illinois superintendents who say they may not be able to finish.
School leaders met with lawmakers in Springfield yesterday. The superintendents say without their state aid payments, some of them may run out of money before the end of the next school year.
