An Ogle County judge set bond at $25,000 yesterday for a Sycamore man following an altercation with Rochelle police early Wednesday morning.
30-year old Laquan Walker has been charged with the felony offense of aggravated battery to a police officer along with 2 counts of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, both misdemeanor charges.
Police say that Walker was creating a disturbance in the 1,000 block of Carrie Avenue that involved his former girl friend.
During the incident with police, he allegedly shoved an officer and scratched him on his hand.
No one needed any medical treatment at the scene.
Walker remains in jail in lieu of bond. He is scheduled for a hearing before an Ogle County judge on Friday.
