A Polo man appeared in Ogle County court yesterday for an arraignment after a one and a half month old infant was injured.
23-year old Ian Green has been charged with the Class "X" felony offense of aggravated battery to a child.
Police received word on July 7th that a baby was being treated for a broken arm at an area hospital.
Further investigation indicated that the infant had 8 broken bones in various stages while the child was at a home in Polo.
In court yesterday, a public defender was appointed for Green. He returns to court on July 26th for a preliminary hearing. Green will plead guilty or innocent to the felony offense at that time.
He remains in the Ogle County Jail in lieu of a $200,000 bond.
