A Rochelle man has pled not guilty in Ogle County court following a fight that took place last month in the Hub City.
55-year old Nestor Cordero has been charged with 2 counts of aggravated battery and aggravated domestic battery, both felony charges, along with the misdemeanor offense of domestic battery.
The female victim was allegedly struck in the head with a hammer. She suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The incident occurred on June 25th in the 71 hundred block of Sunflower Lane in rural Rochelle.
In court yesterday, Cordero waived his preliminary hearing and demanded a jury trial.
He is scheduled for a bond hearing this Monday in Oregon.
Cordero remains in jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
