Prosecutors in Whiteside County are moving ahead with adult charges against a second teen for the death of her friend's mother.
Prosecutors yesterday filed arson and concealing a death charges against 15-year-old Rachel Helm. Police in Morrison say Helm helped her friend, 15-year-old Anna Schroeder, set fire to Schroeder's house to cover up the murder of Schroeder's mother last month.
Anna Schroeder is charged with murder. Prosecutors want the two teens tried as adults, but a judge has yet to decide.
