Lawmakers are reportedly ready to revive the law that provides tax incentives to businesses that locate or expand in Illinois. The so-called EDGE program expired this spring in the midst of the budget battle between Governor Rauner and Democrats in the legislature, but a bill up for a vote Sunday in the Illinois Senate would resuscitate the program, though in a slightly reduced form. The bill has already passed the House and "Crain's Chicago Business" reports that Governor Rauner is supporting it.
