Sterling Police are looking for four men after an incident at a house on 5th Street yesterday that caused a precautionary lockdown. A report of an armed person forced an hour long lockdown at Sterling Schools, the Hospital and at Wahl Clipper Corporation. The incident was reported to be at a vacant house at 1507 5th Street in Sterling. A cleaning person discovered four men in the home and notified police. One of the men was said to be armed. Officers responded to the scene and did not get a response from anyone inside and the Whiteside County SWAT Team was called in. The home was found to be empty.
