A Rockford man was arrested for residential burglary this week in Creston.
Ogle County Sheriff’s Police responded to a residence in the village Tuesday afternoon for a report of a burglary in progress. The homeowner had detained the offender at gunpoint until deputies arrived.
25 year old Elijah Greer of Rockford was arrested on the felony offense for residential burglary.
Greer appeared in court yesterday before an Ogle County judge as bond was set at $250,000.
He returns before a judge on Friday in Oregon for a hearing. Greer remains in jail in lieu of the $250,000 bond.
Ogle County Sheriff’s Police were assisted by the Rochelle Police Department and the Illinois State Police.
There were no reports of injuries during the burglary.
