Hearing on adult charges delayed for Morrison teen in the death of her mother

Two teens charged with murder and arson will wait to see if they'll be charged as adults.

A judge in Whiteside County yesterday postponed Anna Schroeder's hearing to decide if the 15-year-old should be charged as an adult for her mother's death. Schroeder's lawyer says he still has a thousand pages of evidence to sift through.

Police say Schroeder, from Morrison,  shot her mother to death in July, then asked her friend 15-year-old Rachel Helm, to help burn her house to the ground to cover up the murder. Helm's case is also being delayed to wait for a decision on adult charges.
