Rochelle police arrested a Mendota man Saturday night on drug and weapon charges following a traffic stop on 1st Avenue and 2nd Street.
60-year old Robert Lewis was arrested on the charge of 10 counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, prescription pills, along with possession of cannabis, 30 to 100 grams, and drug paraphernalia.
Lewis was also arrested for possession of a weapon by a felon. Police seized a knife during the arrest.
Lewis' car was originally stopped for having only 1 headlight working.
The Rochelle K-9 Unit assisted in the arrest.
Lewis was transported to the Ogle County jail with no bond set on the felony charges. He is scheduled to appear before an Ogle County judge today in Oregon.
