The Rochelle Township High School district is looking at a deficit again of just over $700,000 following the approval of the budget last night by the board.
Projected revenue is expected to be at 15.4 million dollars with expenditures at 16.3 million dollars.
Superintendent Jason Harper said that the numbers are about the same from a year ago.
The district is projected to see an additional $100,000 a year from the new state formula.
Last year's deficit for the district was just over $717,000. Harper said that the new school formula for districts in Illinois will benefit everyone.
He said RTHS should be in better financial shape a year from now.
There is currently 67 certified staff and administrators for the RTHS district.
School officials approved a new roof for the greenhouse which is 14 years old with a price tag of just under $23,000. The work will be done in late May of 2018 and be completed by June.
The board met for about a half hour in executive session to talk about personnel in the district. No action was taken.
