Phase II of the South Main Street project, creating a new liquor license, and rescinding the resolution dealing with the street lighting costs tops the agenda tonight for city officials in Rochelle.
The council meeting was moved to tomorrow night due to the Columbus Day holiday today for city employees. It begins at 7pm.
The agreements involving the South Main Street project involves the responsibilities of the city and state involving the future work that will be done on the road. This includes the proposed 80,000 pound truck route and identifying the truck route class.
Fuzion 6 Casual Bar and Grill at 200 North Washington Street has asked for a Class R-3 liquor license. This allows the retail sale of alcoholic liquor by a restaurant for consumption at the business.
This would be the 7th Class R-3 liquor license for the city.
The street light issue deals with language in the 2005 bonds when they were refunded in 2015. It said that RMU shall bill all city departments for all reasonable costs.
Tuesday's Rochelle city council is open to the public.
