Final ID on body in car in Winnebago County may take time

Investigators in Winnebago County say they may never know what killed a young woman found in a submerged car. The coroner yesterday said the body found in the car in the Rock River is that of a woman, but the coroner is not ready to say the body is Emily Anderson of Loves Park. She went missing in June.

Police found her car over the weekend with the body inside. The coroner's office says it will take time to fully identify the remains, though they say that they may never know a cause of death because of massive decomposition.

They may identify the body through dental records.
