The new company hired to run the Illinois Lottery projects it will increase annual sales by 4 billion dollars which will generated more than 1 billion dollars a year for school and other projects in the state.
The sales would total over a 10-year period.
Northstar Lottery will remain on the job in Illinois until Camelot takes over the lottery on January 2nd of next year.
Lottery proceeds are used to help fund education in the state along with construction projects. Sales in the most recent fiscal year totaled 2.85 billion dollars.
