A water boil order has been issued for residents in the Village of Creston until further notice.
The problem was caused last night due to a water main break on South Street. The water department in Creston had to shut down access to the entire village. Repairs have been made on the main.
Creston will stay under the boil alert until the water can be tested and quality has been regained. The water samples will be tested today and it will take a couple of days to get the results.
Resident should boil their water for at least 5 minutes for consumption or cooking for the present time. Update information on the water boil order for Creston can be heard on Good Time Oldies 1060, The Coyote, and read on the village's facebook and the village's website at www.villageofcreston.org.
Notices have also been posted at the Village Hall building, the Creston0Dement public library, the US post office, and several businesses.
