Ogle County Sheriff's Police look for driver of a motorcycle following accident

Ogle County Sheriff's Police are looking for the driver of a motorcycle following a multi vehicle crash this past Saturday night at the intersection of Route 64 and German Church Road in Oregon.

Reports indicate that 2 motorcycles collided at the intersection. 1 was driven by 32-year old Robert Prehn of Palatine which came to rest in the eastbound lane of Route 64.

The second motorcycle ended up in the north ditch.

2 pick-up trucks traveling eastbound on Route 64 then struck Prehn's motorcycle on the highway. The Palatine man was not on the vehicle when it was struck by the trucks, but received treatment for no-life threatening injuries at a Rockford hospital following the crash.

The driver of the second motorcycle fled the scene on foot.

Prehn was arrested by sheriff's police on the charge of DUI along with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and having no insurance.

The crash remains under investigation as police look for the second driver of the motorcycle and others who assisted the individual in leaving the scene.
