Forreston teen is killed in early morning car crash

A Forreston teen suffered fatal injuries yesterday morning following a single vehicle crash in Carroll County.

Pronounced dead at the scene was 16-year old Drew Crase.

The accident took place a short time after 12:30 at the intersection of Route 72 and 73.

Carroll County Sheriff's police say that Crase's car was traveling southbound when it traveled off the highway on the east side and into a ditch. The vehicle then hit a driveway culvert causing the car to become airborne. The vehicle then landed upside down in a pond.

This is the second teen who attended Forreston High School to die in the past week. 19-year old Gregory Wood of Leaf River suffered fatal injuries in a house fire last Friday morning.
