Potential car buyers could put the brakes on new vehicle sales next year. The National Automobile Dealers Association said sales of new vehicles in the U.S. could decline in 2018.
The dealer lobby group says the sales decrease will likely come as high prices and competition from nearly-new and off-lease vehicles weigh on consumers.
It's forecasting new vehicle sales to be at 16-point-seven-million in 2018. That would be down from the 17-point-one-million expected to be sold this year.
