Village officials in Creston are looking at upgrading some streets on the north side of the community in 2018.
The board talked about the seal coat project last night and working with Ogle County on the project. No costs figures have been determined at this time and the exact streets that will be seal coated.
The fiscal year 2018 tax levy for the village was approved. The increase is just under 5 percent from a year ago.
CR England plans to pay for the damage done by 1 of their semi trucks. It struck a fire hydrant along with 2 stops signs earlier this year.
The soil study has also been completed for the sidewalk project near the downtown area. Construction work will begin in 2018.
