An exonerated killer is asking the Illinois Supreme Court to reconsider his lawsuit against the people he says falsely convicted him.
Alan Beaman earlier this month asked the high court to reconsider his lawsuit against Normal Police detectives who he say conspired against him to convict him of the 1993 murder of his former girlfriend.
Beaman, from Rockford, was later exonerated and given a certificate of innocence by Governor Pat Quinn. His lawyers say Beaman deserves his day in court.
