Rochelle elementary board approve 2 school projects last night

The Rochelle elementary board approved 2 bids last night dealing with work this summer at Central and May Schools.

The window replacement project will cost $644,700 while the asbestos work has a price tag of $50,000.

Superintendent Todd Prusator said that the district got 2 good bids for the work at the schools.

The 2 projects are part of the district's 10 year Health Life Safety survey and should be completed by the time the students return to the classroom in August.

Employment last night included Melissa Rutherford as an early childhood aide at Lincoln School and Joe Tourdot as wrestling coach for the 2017-18 season.

School officials met in executive session to talk about personnel. No action was taken.
