Hillcrest officials have learned that their water system has high levels of nitrate.
Village president Steve Dodson said that well #1 has the problem. Well #2 is also down at the present time which may have caused the lack of flow in the water system.
Do not give the water to babies under 6 months old or use it to make infant formula.
Once well #2 is back in service, the problem in well #1 should be corrected. It should be back working by March 15th.
