A Western Illinois teen is looking at the better part of a decade behind bars after a judge found him guilty of slashing a puppy's throat. A judge in Henry County yesterday convicted Damien Ingram on animal cruelty charges. Police say Ingram was 17-years-old when he slashed Thor the puppy's throat last summer. Animal activists are applauding the conviction. Ingram could get as much as eight years behind bars when he is sentenced in May.
