Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from 1am to 4pm Saturday for The Coyote & Good Time Oldies 1060 listening area, for Ogle & DeKalb Counties. Snow is expected. Total snow accumulations of up to 2 inches, with localized amounts up to 4 inches, are expected. The highest snow totals are expected over southern sections of Ogle
and DeKalb counties, with lighter amounts expected over northern sections of the counties. Plan on slippery road conditions. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
(Lee, LaSalle, Whiteside, Bureau, Henry, & Rock Island Counties) a Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 7pm Friday night to 7pm Saturday night for Portions of east central and northeast Iowa and north central and northwest Illinois. Heavy snow with periods of sleet overnight. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches expected, with localized amounts up to 12 inches possible. Minor ice accumulations of a light glaze possible. East winds will gust up to 35 mph at times.
Snowfall rates may peak between 1-2 inches per hour leading to significant reductions in visibility and very difficult travel conditions. The heavy wet snow may result in broken tree branches, which could lead to sporadic power outages.
