Residents in Rochelle may have noticed storage containers at a couple of hotels in the Hub City during the past few months.
Under city ordinance, a business can not have a permanent container or sometimes known as a "Pod" at their location.
During yesterday's program "Let The People Know", Rochelle Mayor Chet Olson said that the containers are being used while renovation work is being done at the Comfort Inns & Suites along with the Holiday Inn Express.
Mayor Olson said that all of the materials that are needed for the project are in the containers for workers to use. They will be removed once the project is completed.
Olson said that the "Pods" are also used at businesses like Walmart and "Big R" for storage during a period of time.
"Let The People Know" is heard on Wednesday afternoons at 12:30 on Good Time Oldies 1060 and rebroadcast Sunday morning at 7 on WRHL and 6:30 on The Coyote.
Next week's guest will be Rochelle Police Department Detective Terry Inman.
