Alexei Ramirez scored in the bottom of the ninth on Xander Bogaerts' throwing error to send the White Sox to a 2-1 walk-off win over the Red Sox at U.S. Cellular Field. Ramirez extended his hitting streak to 14 games with a single while Dayan Viciedo was 2-for-4 and Adam Dunn hit a solo homer. Erik Johnson struck out nine in six-and-two-thirds innings of one-run ball while Daniel Webb notched the win. Chicago has won four out of five. Former ChiSox starter Jake Peavy struck out eight over six innings of one-run ball for Boston but Burke Badenhop suffered the loss. Daniel Nava hit a solo homer for the Red Sox, who have lost three straight.
