Cubs win, White Sox lose

The Cubs used three home runs to power past the Reds 8-4 at Wrigley Field. Mike Olt hit a solo homer, while Darwin Barney and Wellington Castillo each cracked two-run shots. Emilio Bonifacio was 3-for-5 with two runs scored, while Edwin Jackson picked up his first win of the season. Jackson allowed two runs in five-and-two-thirds innings. Chicago is 5-and-11 after splitting the first two with Cincinnati. Billy Hamilton had three hits to raise his average to .214 in the loss. Jay Bruce was 3-for-3 with an RBI for the Reds, who fell to 7-and-10. Tony Cingrani is 1-and-2 after giving up three runs in five innings.

Colby Lewis notched his first win since 2012, tossing five-and-a-third innings of one-run ball as the Rangers beat the White Sox 6-3 at Globe Life Park.  Shin-Soo Choo and Alex Rios each tallied three hits and an RBI while Prince Fielder and Kevin Kouzmanoff both went yard for Texas which has won five straight.  Each Rangers starter recorded a hit and Joakim  Soria grabbed his third save of the season.  Jose Quintana took the loss in his five innings of work, giving up five runs on nine hits.  Adam Dunn went 3-for-4 while Dayan Viciedo drove in two runs on two hits.

Final game of the series is this afternoon with the Pre-Game Show at 1:30 on Newstalk 1060. The White Sox have lost 4 straight games.
