Cubs blow a 5-0 lead and lose in St. Louis

The Cardinals rallied from an early five-run deficit to defeat the Cubs 9-6 at Busch Stadium. Matt Holliday went 3-for-4 with a homer and four RBI while Jhonny Peralta finished 3-for-4 with two RBI. Kolten Wong also went deep for St. Louis, which has won two straight since a four-game slide. Pat Neshek earned the win in relief while Trevor Rosenthal notched his 40th save. Carlos Villanueva took the loss in relief for Chicago while Luis Valbuena hit a two-run homer. Arismendy Alcantara added a solo blast for the Cubs, who have lost four of six.

The Cubs will be at home today as they take on Milwaukee.
