Bulls guard Jimmy Butler will undergo an MRI today on his thumb. Butler injured the left thumb in Sunday's exhibition win over the Hornets and missed last night's game against the Cavaliers. Early indications are that the thumb is sprained and won't require surgery.
The Blackhawks welcome the Philadelphia Flyers to United Center this evening for a nationally-televised skate. Chicago is 3-0-and-1 following Saturday's OT victory over the Predators. The Flyers come in at 1-2-and-2 on the young season. The puck drops at 7:30.
