Cubs lose 3rd straight game to the Phillies

Maikel Franco and Ryan Howard both hit two-run homers as the Phillies pounded the Cubs 11-5 and swept the three-game series at Wrigley Field. Domonic Brown finished a homer short of the cycle and drove in three for the Phils, who are 8-and-1 since the All-Star break. Aaron Nola picked up his first career win with seven-and-two-thirds innings of four-run ball. Dexter Fowler, Addison Russell and David Ross all went deep for the Cubs, who have gone 4-and-6 to open the second half. Jason Hammel was tagged for six runs in less than four frames as he slipped to 5-and-5 with the loss.

The Cubs open up a series tonight at home against Colorado.
