Senior Colfay Pointer along with the 3200 and 1600 relay teams from RTHS have qualified for the finals on Saturday at the Boys Class 2A State Track Meet.
Pointer ran the 2nd fastest time in the 400 at (:49.33). He placed 6th in the race last year.
The 3200 relay team has the 4th best time at (8:04.31) which is a school record. The relay team includes Donivyn Harms, Matthew Drendel, Julian Hernandez, and Pointer.
The 1600 relay team won their heat, but had the 6th best time at (3:23.43). The relay has Harms, Drendel, Xavier Rincon, and Pointer.
Rochelle's 800 relay team did not qualify for the finals. They finished 4th in their heat with a time of (1:30.99).
This is also the first time RTHS has had a relay team in the finals at a State Track Meet.
