Buddy Ryan, who coached two defenses that won Super Bowl titles and
whose twin sons Rex and Rob have been successful NFL coaches, has
died at 85.
The always outspoken Ryan broke in to the NFL as the
Jets' defensive line coach in 1968 and coordinated the
ground-breaking 46 defense for the '85 Bears, one of the NFL's
greatest defenses. He was head coach for the Eagles from 1986-90
and for the Cardinals in 1994-95.
